  1. There’s a sad sort of clanging from the clock in the hall
And the bells in the steeple too.
And up in the nursery an ubsurd little bird
Is popping out to say cook-coo cook-coo, cook-coo
    Regretfully they tell us cook-coo
But firmly they compell us cook-coo
    To say goodbye cook-coo…
    To you…

So long farewell, auf weidersehen good-bye

  2. Epp, mulle on see hea uudis, sest erinevalt 31.01st saan päev hiljem teile vastu tulla küll ja näiteks aidata Valgevasesse sõidu taksoraha kokku hoida. Mobiili osas vaatan kah kodused varud üle, ehk leiab mõne töötava.

  3. Ok, Kaja, siis loodetavasti kohtume. Meie siin praegu hallis vihmases Varssavis hotellis, ei viitsigi linna minna.

  4. Varssavi on tõesti tore linn. See, et vanalinn, mis ju II Maailmasõja ajal praktiliselt hävitati, praegu väga vanalinna moodi välja näeb, näitab poolakate armastust. Ja loomulikult restauraatorite erilist professionaalsust.

  5. Mimi do´nt cry. They are everyday in your heart and you are in their hearts. Actually it would be really creat idea to You to start a blogg about long term relationship.

  6. Welcome To Estonia Says:
Mimi do´nt cry. They are everyday in your heart and you are in their hearts. Actually it would be really creat idea to You to start a blogg about long term relationship.

Why would you, or anyone for that matter be interested in my feelings about a long distance relationship with my family ?

  7. Martasmimi,

    because feelings are interesting 🙂

Why people read books about other people’s life? Why people watch movies about same things? Life’s too short to experience everything, therefore it is interesting to get a glance on feelings that oneself may have not experienced… Not to mention the fact that people are so different…

And also – one year (or smth like that) is so short time, they’ll be back before you’ll even notice (I know it’s exaggeration, but still).

  8. I think it´s not only being interested, it´s more like understanding. Or at least I think I know how it is, when your loved ones are far away.

Epp, ma nägin teid küll hommikul aknast. Aga ma olin just üles ärganud ja polnud just kõige kontaktivõimelisemas olekus 🙂
Kuidas korter tundus? Ma ise polegi seal sees käinud, piltidelt näinud vaid.

  9. martasmimi, it’s not bad idea at all in my mind. i live in a different country from my parents and would be really happy if could read their blog.

  10. noh, see, suur, et oled siis “maandunud” või ikka veel “õhus”?

This why I cannot post…I cannot read this and what I can read has several meanings some are good and some not…

  11. Well-noh, see, suur, et oled siis “maandunud” või ikka veel “õhus”? means so are you landed already or stll flying?
If you have you own blogg and it is in english, then there could be no way that somebody could be that stupid that would write in estonian.
And you can make this blogg private, so that only authorized persons could read it. The importantest meaning of this blogg is that you could just write out all the feelings inside you, so you should not keep ang grow them inside you. Also, when Marta is older, she can read what was you thinking, when she was in Estonia and what happened in her other home in this time.

  12. Is this of interest??

Justin,Epp and Marta flew off to Estonia on Tuesday leaving behind Marta’s very sad Mimi & Popa and a
    much relieved Hannah & Velcro…
Hannah our dog, is enjoying her days that are now void of having colorful ponytail elastics applied to her tail in groups of 5 & 10.
Velcro, our 14 year old cat is enjoying his 23 hours of sleep, his fur blowing on the warm heat vents once more…
He had no use for the “kitty love” being offered by our very enthusiastic three year old granddaughter Marta.
So we are now all alone, it’s very quiet here and yes sad as well.

  13. “see suur et”

    (a) literally it means “that big thing I wanted to talk with you.” Estonians might mutter it after awkward silence when visting their neighbours. First they talk about the weather, then they discuss the health of their dog or cow. The tenth on the agenda this is awkward silence and the eleventh the reason they actually visited their neighbour.

    (b) it is a phrase frequnetly used by one of the male characters in Estonian TV show “Õnne 13”. A dweeby, crumpy male in his forties who worked as garbage collector and has gotten a better job as someone’s personal driver at the moment.

    kas nüüd selgitasin piisavalt? 🙂

  14. yes:)
you write the way that I actually see Velcro sleeping:)

    Thank you…

I tried to copy a photo of Hannah & Velcro to my reply but it seems I cannot.
